In anxiety filled moments it’s important to remember that we cannot ease ourselves out of anxiety with thoughts, because those thoughts are no longer logical. We need to instead use the mechanics of our body to re-regulate and reconnect our frontal lobe, and we can do this through:
Breath work
Grounding
Exercise
Singing
Laughing
Within this deck of cards you will find 24 activities to help ease, or pull you back from feelings or anxiety or a panic attack.
The activities sit within 4 time categories: 2 minutes, 5-10 minutes, 10-15 minutes, and 20+ minutes.
Also included are 4 ‘before it gets you cards’, to help plan for when anxiety hits, as well as 4 ‘acceptance’ cards.
Every activity in this deck are strategies I have used to manage my own anxiety, and my hope is that they’re able to help you manage yours as well.
